Nanette Drisi is a graduate of The Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Chicago. She has a masters from Governors State University in Illinois.
Her award winning paintings have a diversity ranging from imaginative surrealism to contemporary oil portraits, in a painting style characterized by a rich use of color and fine attention to detail. Emphasis is placed on technical competence rather than on mementary trends.
Her portraits of Dr. Leo Goodman-Malamuth and Senator Aaldo DeAngelis were commissioned by Governors State University for their cultural center. She has exhibited extensively in other cultural facilities like The Art Institute of Chicago, The Chicago Society of Artists, The Beverly Art Center of Chicato and The Northern Indiana Cultural Center.
She is co-founder of the Professional Artist Alliance and co-owner of The Drisi Studio of Fine Art. She is secretary of The Municipal Art League of Chicago, one of the founders of Oil Painters of America and is an associate member of The Allied Artists of America.
